Atlanta Technical College to Host Everblue's LEED Training Courses

Partnership aims to strengthen environmental awareness and technical knowledge

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Everblue is proud to announce its new training partnership with Atlanta Technical College (ATC). This relationship will bolster green jobs training in the Atlanta metro area, allowing more students the opportunity to find employment in the sustainable design and green building industries.

Atlanta Technical College is a member of the Technical College System of Georgia that offers associate degrees, diplomas, technical certificates of credit and customized business and industry training. The addition of these Everblue courses will aid ATC in its mission to meet the workforce demands and economic development needs of Fulton and Clayton Counties in Georgia.

“Everblue is proud to partner with Atlanta Technical College to offer sustainability training courses to enhance the college’s role of developing the state’s workforce through technical education,” said Brenda Thompson, an Everblue business development representative.

Students taking advantage of this training partnership will have the opportunity to learn about green building and design through the Leadership in Environmental Engineering and Design (LEED) Green Associate training course.

LEED courses offered by Everblue prepare individuals in the practice of green building, through the cultivation of knowledge in designated areas including Sustainable Sites, Water Efficiency, Energy & Atmosphere, Materials & Resources, Indoor Environmental Quality and Innovation in Design. LEED Accreditation is also a valuable credential to increase employment potential now that all newly constructed federal government buildings must be LEED Certified.
