Commercial Building Energy Auditor Training Takes Everblue's Energy Auditing Curriculum to the Next Level

Everblue Training Institute will dive deep into energy efficiency training with its 40-hour course aimed at managing commercial buildings.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Everblue Training Institute’s new Commercial Building Energy Auditor course aims to prepare individuals for a career in commercial energy auditing. This comprehensive energy efficiency course includes classroom lecture, practical exercise, and hands-on training.

“In this course, we will discuss the fundamentals of building science, energy auditing, benchmarking, energy modeling, and retro-commissioning,” said Chris Boggiano, Everblue principal. “We’ll cover what tools are available from the Department of Energy, as well as look at other resources that should be available to someone assessing the energy consumption of a commercial building.”

With increasing energy costs, building owners and small businesses are increasingly looking to reduce costs by improving their energy efficiency. Everblue’s Commercial Building Energy Auditor course will teach students how to achieve the greatest savings for the least up-front cost in commercial offices, retail, grocery stores, warehouses, houses of workshop, apartment buildings, and a variety of other types of buildings.

This advanced training is offered online and in a physical classroom setting, both formats being led by a live, interactive instructor. The online format is a blended course with live webinars where students can interact with their instructors, segmented, broken up by online, pre-recorded sessions of the class that students can complete at their own pace. This offers the opportunity for students to get the best of both worlds, where they can both interact with the students and their instructor in an online classroom, and they also have the convenience of completing the course at their own pace and at their own schedule. Everblue also offers this class in a physical classroom setting, in a live, five-day, 40-hour format in various locations around the country, for both private, in-house groups and at select open enrollment locations throughout the United States.

“One of the best features of our online learning interface is our online blackboard, which allows us to write out math problems and write out equations and the different items the instructor might need to cover in the class,” Boggiano said. “If they wanted to draw a picture of something, if they wanted to draw a graph, if they wanted to write out some words or draw a sketch to explain a concept...all of this is possible. Literally anything that someone could write on a blackboard or on a piece of paper, they can write on this interface. Very, very powerful tool for communicating information online.”

This commercial energy efficiency curriculum is geared toward architects, engineers, construction managers, general contractors, insulation installers, HVAC technicians, and property managers, among others.
