New Florida Building Code Takes Effect June 30

UPDATE (8/6/15): Due to the FL Speaker of the House's abrupt decision to adjourn for the remainder of the session, the proposed building code is now set to go into effect June 29, 2016.

The International Code Council and the Florida Building Commission announced significant changes to the Florida Building Building Codes that will result in safer, sustainable buildings and homes. The updated Florida Building Codes are mandatory for all new construction or rehabilitation projects with a permit application date of June 30, 2015 or later.
