There is no doubt that large corporations wield vast amounts of power in today's societies. But to what extent do these powerful agents have an obligation to operate with the public’s interest in mind?

A new Prosumer Report from Havas Worldwide surveyed exactly 10,219 people in 31 countries and the results were pretty shocking. Sixty-nine percent said that corporations have just as much of a responsibility as governments.

East Coast Wind Energy

Over the past decade, there have been copious amounts of research done in the environmental field on offshore wind farms and the viability of having them off the coast of the eastern part of the U.S. Much of the research has been optimistic toward the access of this renewable energy source off our coasts, yet legislation and lack of any real action has held up any proposed projects. Recently, however, news has developed out of North Carolina. On January 22, Republican Gov. Pat McCrory voiced his opinion in a letter written to the U.S Bureau of Ocean Energy Management.

Top 10 States for LEED Certification

This week, the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) released its 2012 list of the top 10 states in the U.S for new LEED certifications. This list of the top states best portrays regions in the U.S. that are committed to transforming buildings and communities to become more sustainable and energy friendly.
