Everblue principal partner, Jon Boggiano, was invited to the White House on October 7th for the GreenGov Presidential Awards. The invitation capped a week of education events at the first-ever GreenGov symposium held in Washington, DC. Jon Boggiano was a panelist and guest speaker at GreenGov 2010, where he spoke about “How Green Grows Jobs.”

The GreenGov Presidential awards were organized by the White House Council on Environmental Quality (CEQ). Eight winners were awarded the 2010 GreenGov Presidential Awards for exceptional efforts to promote sustainable operations at their agencies. The winners are federal agency teams or employees from across the country. The awardees included project team members from a Green Cafeteria, a LEED Platinum Housing Project, a Green Transportation initiative, and five others.

The GreenGov Presidential Awards celebrate extraordinary achievement in the pursuit of President Obama's Executive Order on Federal Leadership in Environmental, Energy and Economic Performance (Executive Order 13514).

Following the awards ceremony, a reception was held at the White House in honor of the award recipients.
