Everblue is excited to announce that two of our students were winners at the Sustainable South Florida Awards ceremony, which occurred on November 17. To follow-up a related blog post (Greg Hamra: Everblue's Green Visionary), we are also pleased to announce that our very own Greg Hamra, senior LEED instructor, did in fact win the Green Visionary category! It brings us a lot of joy to see our students and instructors excelling in the sustainability field, and we’re so proud of all they have accomplished and contributed to the industry.

Maggie Fernandez participated in Everblue’s LEED training under the guidance of Greg and represented Miami-Dade County’s Office of Sustainability in the acceptance of an award.

Michael Tschupp, who submitted a lovely nomination on Greg’s behalf, was not up for an award. However, he won an iPad2 through a drawing!

Greg Hamra was one of the individuals honored at the Sustainable South Florida AwardsThe Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce selected Greg as this year’s Green Visionary due to his understanding that environmental/behavioral change begins with education. Due to his LEED training efforts through Everblue, Greg has brought green building knowledge to hundreds of thousands of individuals who now have the power to also be change agents in the community. Numerous student testimonials bolstered Greg’s nomination letter and ultimately demonstrated just how effective and influential Greg’s LEED training methods are. Everblue couldn’t be any more proud!
