The state of Massachusetts has received special funding to assist people laid-off over the last two years. Boston area individuals who have been laid off from the following list of companies may be eligible for free training!

Layoff date for the following companies must be on or after December 1, 2008 - June 30, 2010.

  • Snap-on
  • DHL
  • Altrus Pharmaceuticals
  • Bose Electronics
  • Taylor Corporation
  • Sepracor
  • Staples
  • EMC

Layoff date for the following companies must be on or after November 1, 2008 – June 30, 2010.

  • Fidelity Investments
  • Fidelity National
  • Capital One
  • Putnam Investments
  • Sovereign Bank
  • State Street
  • Wellington Management
  • Bank of America

The state of Massachusetts has received special funding of up to 10K per person to assist recently laid-off employees from the list above. You may be eligible for skills training and/or enhanced services from one of the Career Coaches at the center. Some of the enhanced services include: Career Coaching, Skills Training, Job Development, and Microsoft Office Training, BPI Training, LEED Training and more!
