RESNET has submitted proposed amendments to the quality assurance provisions of the Mortgage Industry National Home Energy Rating Standards for the standard amendment public review and comment process.

On February 18, 2010, the RESNET Standards Committee approved a first round of changes (a.k.a. Phase I) to the RESNET Standards submitted by the Quality Assurance and Ethics Committee which consolidate all of the RESNET quality assurance requirements into a new Chapter 9 in the Standards. Since October of 2009, the QA Committee has been working on a second round of changes to the Standards (a.k.a. Phase II) which have been a comprehensive review of the existing QA policies and procedures currently stipulated in Standards. Unlike the Phase I changes, which were primarily editorial in nature, many of the Phase II recommendations by the QA Committee are a fundamental change in how RESNET executes Quality Assurance.
