As of September 2009, Chicago has more LEED certified buildings than any other city in the United States making it the perfect location for the U.S. Green Building Council's 2010 Greenbuild Conference and Expo on November 17-19th. Incorporating green technologies into new and existing building is critical for curbing carbon emissions, reducing waste, energy consumption, and water use.

Greenbuild 2010 is the place to go to learn how green can grow your business. This year's expo hall in Chicago will showcase the latest in innovative products and services. This expo gives individuals from all walks of life an in-depth overview of all things related to the Green building community.

The Greenbuild expo will include tours of Chicago’s environmentally progressive neighborhoods, restaurants and businesses. The tour will also include workshops, training, social networking opportunities, and keynote speakers to include:

  • Honorable Shaun Donovan, Former head of New York City's Department of Housing Prevention and Development and served as the Clinton administration's Deputy Assistant Secretary for Multifamily Housing
  • Paul Hawken, Green business entrepreneur, and has also written extensively on ecologically responsible business practices.
