What's New in LEED Version 4?

At the Greenbuild Conference & Expo next month, the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) will reveal its new flagship product, LEED Version 4 (v4). The creation of LEED v4 is the culmination of years of feedback from various members and users, all of whom influence the adoption of new green building concepts in the marketplace. Given the USGBC’s mission to maintain a consensus and market-driven approach to the LEED standard, the new version will feature new and innovative credits that will propel green building forward.

Everblue Students Now Eligible for College Credit

Everblue is excited to announce that our students are now able to receive college credit thanks to a partnership with Madisonville Community College (MCC). This partnership allows students who complete an Everblue training course to receive academic credit toward an Associate of Applied Science degree in Energy Management offered at MCC.

What Not to Recycle on Halloween

Halloween is only a few days away. With that will undoubtedly come lots of candy – and lots of waste. That means it’s time to investigate what to do with Halloween leftovers. I started out looking for ways to recycle Halloween candy and found that there is a network of dental offices that buy back extra Halloween candy to send to U.S. troops through Operation Gratitude. I like the idea but wanted to go one step further and address the waste from all those wrappers!

LEED CMP Site Down Oct 28-Nov 3

Accredited LEED professionals looking to maintain their credentials may be in for a surprise this morning. The “My Credentials” website, hosted by the Green Building Certification Institute (GBCI) will be down for maintenance from October 28-November 3, which means that accredited LEED professionals will not be able to record their LEED CMP hours.
