 Weather Delay Alert!

Due to inclement weather today, February 1, 2011 Everblue's LEED training course in Dallas, TX will be cancelled. Everblue will be contacting each student individually to inform them of their training options.

The New Brunswick, NJ LEED training is due to begin at 9am but may start 30 minutes behind schedule.

We urge our students to take caution when traveling to training locations and provide themselves extra time in their commute.

NABCEP Releases Solar Thermal Learning Objectives

Solar enthusiasts, the wait is over! NABCEP has recently released Entry Level Solar Thermal Learning Objectives and an exam blueprint for its new Solar Thermal Entry Level Knowledge Assessment program. The Learning Objectives, which were developed by a volunteer committee of Solar Thermal Industry practitioners and educators, are focused on ensuring that students will be able to demonstrate fundamental Solar Thermal knowledge.

Solar Growth Hampered By Government Regulation

If you've been following the news lately, you'll no doubt have heard about the demise of American Solar Panel Manufacturers. Essentially, China is driving the prices of panels down so low that many American manufacturers are simply giving up and buying Chinese made panels. While I think this is a disaster for American manufacturing, I thought this would be a boon for Amercian Solar installers as the cost of panels has drop up to 80% in the last few years (depending on the type of panel).

I am frequently asked about job and work opportunities for energy auditors. Here is one example of an opportunity for an energy auditor. What amazes me is how hidden many of these opportunities seem to be.

Who: Community Action of Northeast Indiana, Inc. (CANI).

What: Requesting work proposals from professional contractors for weatherization work on low-income homes in northeast Indiana. Work includes:
