Currently, GBCI is conducting a call for volunteers to assist us in Item Development for the new LEED for Homes Green Rater exam. GBCI is seeking subject matter experts (SMEs) who are familiar with the LEED for Homes rating system and the implementation and verification process. SMEs should have provided verification services on a minimum of 3 registered LEED for Homes projects.

As many LEED APs probably know, tracking LEED credits is a document-intensive process. Submittal documentation includes drawings, receipts, product spec sheets, photos, commission plans and more. Adding to the clutter, numerous project members access and edit these documents.

The U.S. Green Building Council has released its schedule of LEED regional credits–one of the changes the standards-setting body initiated under its revamp of the LEED system. LEED 2009, also called LEED v3, puts greater emphasis on building design that has a more holistic impact on the environment.
