BPI Envelope Shell Professional Training

The BPI Envelope Professional Certification is an advanced home energy auditor certification that focuses on ways to tighten a home's exterior boundary, or its envelope.

By completing blower door and duct blaster testing, a BPI Envelope Professional can help prevent uncontrolled air leakage into, and outside of, a home. This knowledge can stop ice dams, mildew, and mold from forming inside the home. A BPI Envelope Professional can also identify insulation issues, from R-values to type of insulation, and provide recommendations for creating a more comfortable and energy-efficient home.
