Job Title: Technical Field Specialist

Overview: CLEAResult is seeking a self-motivated field staff who will be based in Phoenix, AZ to provide quality assurance and technical training services in the residential existing homes sector. The Field Technician will represent the utility program(s) while performing work throughout Arizona; conducting pre- and post-installation verifications and other technical data gathering activities. Extensive travel throughout Arizona and some evening and weekend work is required. The Field Technician will be reimbursed for mileage at a set rate per mile, and for any overnight travel that may be required. This position is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic team and deliver immediate value to a leading and growing company in the energy efficiency field. Please note, this position requires up to 50-75% travel.

Responsibilities:

- Act as local, on-site program and company representative to customers and contractors; promote program image and messaging accordingly
- Conduct quality assurance reviews of residential HVAC energy efficiency upgrades (in-home verification and paperwork reviews)
- Provide technical advice, guidance and training on installation, adaptation, configuration or enhancement in accordance with client specifications
- Troubleshoot technical problems and issues, and recommend solutions
- Record inspection results, and customer and contractor interactions in accordance with corporation's procedures
- Provide timely and insightful input back to program
- Demonstrate a positive attitude and willingness to learn new tools and techniques
- Responsible for special projects as assigned

Skills/Qualifications:

- Current industry technical certification(s)Residential quality assurance, retrofit/remodeling and/or energy efficiency experience required - BPI Building Analyst required
- Strong attention to detail

Description: Analyze home energy use through diagnostic testing including blower door. Perform standard inspection of home appliances, windows, insulation, water heater, and HVAC equipment. Make recommendations for improved efficiency. Install energy efficient upgrades such as lighting, showerheads, and pipe wrap.

Skills/Qualifications: BPI certification preferred (will start at $18 an hour). Without certification, candidate must have a background in home inspection or applicable construction experience (will start at $15 an hour with opportunity for advancement).

- Act as “Crew Chief” on job sites, overseeing Weatherizers in the field

- Track and inform contracting manager of low inventory and potential “stop work” conditions
- Quality Control and review of Weatherizers
- Ensure compliance with all OSHA/local/federal/state codes for field work operations
- Build and nurture positive relationship and maintain rapport with Client during contracting operations
- Oversee and/or perform all test-out operations
- Drive contracting truck
- Manage and organize contracting storage unit
- Perform occasional comprehensive energy audits and test-outs after work completion
- Assist with other Elysian Energy programs and projects as needed
