Before I get into this blog, I would like to start with a short statement answering the question, why should you care?

First and most importantly, bottled water is very energy intensive. It takes lots of imported oil to make the bottle and transport it to your home, office, the gym, etc. That imported oil hurts our economy and fuels undemocratic regimes around the world. Here are the top ten pieces of green building legislation in the house right now.  It is unknown how many of these will become law but it is very encouraging that Congress is thinking about green building. There are big and small programs listed below and all of them can make an impact on our future quality of life.
