5 star review"I just wanted to express what a pleasure it was to have Bruce Oxendale as the proctor for our BPI Envelope training and exams. I had a diverse group for him to train, and he came extremely organized, professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. He also was willing to work over the New Years Holiday! He was very easy to work with, and I truly appreciate all he did for us this week. Everblue is always so easy to work with and we will continue to work with your company." - Danielle Braca

Do you have to have previous HVAC experience in order to take this course. Is the course tailored to people who come from other fields or industries and have no previous work in the energy field? I have been unemployed for 6 months. My career has been business professional. Due to econmy and employment situation, a career change must be made.

Hello,

Thank you for your question. Students are not required to have any specialty background to take BPI training or become an Energy Auditor. However, a HVAC and/or contracting background can be useful to when performing an energy audit.

Thank you,
Bana

Does build it green CGBP work for the prerequisite for the BPI Envelope shell pro?

Hello,

The only course that can prerequisite the BPI Envelope Shell is the BPI Building Analyst/Energy Auditor. It is very important to take the BPI Building Analyst/Energy Auditor to understand BPI Envelope Shell as it is a foundational course for BPI.

Thank you,
Bana

Accreditation

Submitted by Everblue

Hi,

In order to have your business accredited with BPI, you must have at least one employee with a BPI Building Analyst certification and then an advanced BPI credential above that.

Once the employee has both of these requirements, your company can then apply to be BPI accredited. You would want to contact BPI directly at www.bpi.org directly for more information on the business certification process.

Thanks,
Everblue

Hello!

Everblue's BPI Weatherization course covers the techniques to apply dense packed spray insulation. It does not cover wet cellulose application, however. Please see Everblue's BPI Weatherization page for more information on what this class offers
