Chaffey College Offer EERT training

The sustainability education provider will utilize government funds aimed toward expanding the skill sets of professionals in the energy efficiency and green building industry.

Everblue Energy, Inc. has collaborated with California-based Chaffey College for the Energy Efficient Retrofit Technician (EERT) training program, a grant-funded program utilizing ARRA stimulus funds through the San Bernardino County Workforce Investment Board.

Those qualifying for the program will receive training in the fast-growing renewable energy industry, gaining skills in energy auditing, the solar industry and green building and construction. Those completing the EERT program will be certified BPI Building Analysts, giving them the necessary skills for success in jobs related to energy efficiency and weatherization.

Chaffey College’s commitment to creating a highly-skilled workforce in the energy efficiency and sustainability industry establishes the region as a leader in developing strategic initiatives for renewable energy.

“With the roll out of several government-funded weatherization programs including Home Star and California’s PACE program, Chaffey is on the cutting edge of preparing a workforce ready for in-demand jobs across the region,” said Jon Boggiano, co-founder of Everblue.
