"I have to say it was a great pleasure to attend your class. The real world stories scattered into the material provided a reality check to why I was actually at the class in the first place. I felt you delivered the material perfectly and I have not stopped talking about the class since I left to just about anyone that will give me an ear on the subject. Includes colleagues at work, as well as family and friends. I am very excited about the upcoming LEEP AP class I have scheduled with Everblue." - Anthony Campbell
"I just want to take a moment to say how I enjoyed the webinar presented by Mr. Greg Hamra. He definitely has the gift of teaching! The whole system was so organized, very easy to use (both audio and video) and most importantly, the course contents are so comprehensive that I found everything I needed to pass my exam and span your knowledge about sustainability and green architecture. I look forward to take LEED AP classes as well in the near future. Thank you Everblue for the incredible job!" - Golnaz Mozafari
Yes, once you pass the LEED Green Associate exam, you can proceed to the LEED AP exam. In fact, the USGBC offers a combined GA/AP exam if you really want to fast-track the process. Please note that we don't usually recommend the combined GA/AP exam, however, The exam is 4 hours in duration (no breaks), and if you fail either part -
GA or AP - you walk away empty-handed. We always recommend that candidates approach one exam a time for best results.
Are we able to print out the practice exam questions? I saw shipping outside the US fees and also a 60 day window to view the practice questions. Thanks in advance,
Everblue's practice exam questions are not in a printable format. They are designed in the same format as the actual LEED exam questions which are given online.
I would like to know the difference between classes in Abu Dahabi, Dubai and classes in the United States. Is the quality the same? Are the teachers the same? In total, is it better for me to attend the classes in the United States or it doesn't make any difference.
Thanks for your interest in Everblue's classes. The curriculum is the same for all of our courses whether in the United States or International. All of our instructors are Everblue trained employees. So your class will be the same top quality Everblue training no matter where you are.
To become LEED accredited, you first have to take and pass the LEED Green Associate Exam.
Everblue provides LEED Green Associate Exam Prep training in multiple formats to help you prepare for the exam. Once you take this class, we recommend that you study the materials we provide you for several weeks before taking the test.
I have been selling in the commercial HVAC industry for 23 years. I will be 50 in 2011. Is it to late for me to get my LEED certification? My memory is not what it used to be. Thanks.
It's certainly not too late to get a LEED certification. Everblue has students of all ages and coming from many different backgrounds. The LEED Green Associate exam prep covers a lot of material, but our course gives you everything you need to do well on the exam. In fact, Everblue has over a 98% pass rate with our students who take the LEED Green Associate exam prep class.
Call our office at 1-800-460-2575 if you would like to discuss the course further with us.
I am going to take the LEED-GA training course and take the test...eventually. My question is, how many study hours outside of the class do you recommend to have a good chance at passing the test?
Everblue recommends that students spend 20-30 hours studying on their own. While we thoroughly cover all the material in class, self study helps students to really retain the information.
I am a recent college grad, looking to become involved in the green economy. Is the LEED Associates exam right for me, or should I gain work experience first? How will the LEED Associates certification help me get a job?
Thank you for the great question! A LEED Green Associate credential would be a smart first step to a green career. You do not need work experience to become a LEED Green Associate, so it is perfect for a student right out of school.
A LEED Green Associate will certainly help you in the job market, because it will give you knowledge and a credential in a fast growing field. Also, it is a good way to balance the fact that your work experience is limited. And as a LEED Green Associate, you will be an attractive candidate to anyone already working in the green industry.
Hi,
I am an interior designer and am interested in taking the Green Associate Exam Prep Course. I understand that there will be some handouts and study materials provided in the course but will you suggest to also buy the LEED reference guide in advance? If so, should it be the 2009 version or the V2? I am a bit confused on the differences between the two? As an interior designer, do I need to purchase the full set of reference guide to prepare for the exam and for future practice?
One of the great things about Everblue's live LEED Green Associate exam prep course is that everything you need is included. We provide you pre-course reading material to review online before the class. In the class, we provide a course book and study sheets. And after the class, we give you access to Everblue's practice exam questions. That's it!
You don't need to go out to the bookstore or browse Amazon for additional materials. We give you everything you need to pass the LEED Green Associate exam!
Everblue's LEED Green Associate exam prep course includes all the study materials you will need to prepare for the exam after you have completed your class. We give you a course book in the class along with "cheat sheets" that contain all of the course information condensed onto several quick reference pages.
Everblue also gives you access to over 400 practice questions after your course that closely resemble the actual LEED Green Associate exam questions.
The cost to sit for the LEED Green Associate exam is $250, and you can schedule this anytime with Prometric testing centers at www.prometric.com.
I took the Green Associate course a while ago (have procrastinated a bit about taking the exam), and also purchased the flash cards and the practice exams (on-line).
In particular, the practice exams are outstanding and completely invaluable towards passing the exam. I am not sure if I could have passed without them (I don't think the flashcards alone would do it), and the format of the practice exams on-line was perfect for passing the exam.
I passed with a very high score (I think, 195?) and thought the exam was relatively easy after having done the practice exams. A great format, and invaluable to passing the exam.
Thanks for all your help! Doug Ruhlin (druhlin@resourcemanagementassoc.com)
The best way to start with earning your LEED Green Associate is to take an Everblue LEED Green Associate exam prep course. After the class, we recommend you study for several weeks with the materials we provide you. Then you schedule your LEED Green Associate exam and pass!
To continue on and earn your LEED AP, we also recommend that you take an Everblue LEED AP exam prep course. Everblue offers a LEED AP Building Design and Construction course and a LEED AP Operations and Maintenance course. After the course, you study for several weeks like you would for the LEED GA. Then register for the LEED AP exam and pass!
I took the two day course prior to taking the exam. The materials that they provided with the course (course book with all the classroom slides, summary sheet for each LEED credit, 400 questions plus two practice tests) gave plenty of study material to prepare for the test. The real benefit of the two day class was learning how to really read the question and understand what was was being asked. It was this that helped me do so well on the exam and I would recommend it to anyone.
The LEED Exam is available in most countries worldwide via Prometric testing centers. We have had a number of students from Columbia so I am sure that the Prometric exam center there offers the LEED Green Associate Exam.
We look forward to having you in our LEED Training. Everblue
I recently took the live class for the LEED GA exam prep with James Boley, in Chicago.
James made the class clear, smart, interesting, focused and friendly. He gave us all kind of helpful information to pass the test.
After a few days of studying, I took the test today and passed with 183/200, in the first try.
Are the test questions similar to those on the actual test and is it a good indication that if you are doing well on the practice tests you will do well on the actual test?
Our LEED Practice Exams simulate the actual exam experience. Our questions are the same format, structure, and question methodology. We also cover the same material that is covered by the LEED exams. If you are doing very well on the practice exams, then you should do well on the regular exam.
I am very interested in becoming leed certified and hope to become a leed green associate. I am in Florida and was wondering if there are LEED exam centers here. Any advice is greatly appreciated!
There are over 300 LEED exam locations available nationwide through the network of Prometric testing centers. As part of our LEED Green Associate Exam prep classes, we provide you with detailed instructions on registering for the exam and how to find the closest testing center.
I worked on LEED projects while at Waste Management in Construction Sales. Does that count as a Legacy and if so, which course(s) would you reccommend for me?
I currently live in the Orlando area and looking to relocate to Atlanta to continue my career.
Hello. A legacy LEED AP is someone who became accredited prior to the LEED version 3 standards which were implemented in the summer of 2009.
Under the current LEED version three standards, your first step would be a LEED Green Associate training course and then the LEED Green Associate exam. Once you have passed the LEED Green Associate, you can proceed to the LEED AP with Specialty level.
Demand for LEED training which is what we can measure is strong in all of the major coastal cities and in areas with large federal footprints such as military bases or Department of Energy Installations.
Interestingly enough though, my experience is that people seem to have an easier time get LEED project work in less competitive areas where schools, hospitals, or municipalities are building LEED projects.
Hi!
The LEED accreditation seems like a must do for anyone wanting to gain a foothaold in the hugely upcoming green market. Is it possible for a citizen of a non American, or a country where the Green building council is not registered to become a LEED professional??
LEED is an international standard. It is possible for anyone, anywhere in the world to become LEED accredited. The only hurdle for most people is the limited number of languages that the exam is offered in. We have had LEED students from Argentina, Brazil, Mexico, Turkey, Italy, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Taiwan, Singapore, China, Japan, and many more countries.
I completed the webinar for Leed Green Associate back in March, 2010. The overall content of the course was very good and right on target respect to the methodology of the test. After working for few days on the study pack and also the question pack for the LEED AP BD&C content I was able to Pass the 2 parts of the exam today.
I felt very confortable and familiar with the test. That help a lot.
I will certainly be back to this site for my Continued Education Hours.
Thanks for the great feedback. We enjoy hearing from students. For LEED Credential Maintenance we just rolled out a new program that will help you meet the exact requirements of the credential maintenance program.
I am planning to take the LEED Green Associate exam, I am also a Certified Energy Manager (Association of Energy Engineers). Can I get CE credits applicable to the CEM certification renewal?
We can provide you with a certificate of completion with our assorted continuing education provider numbers included. Most associations and continuing education boards accept this course but to be safe you should check with the CEM CEU board beforehand.

I was at your Seattle training session for Green Associate on 1/7-1/8/10. I wanted to let you know that today I passed both the LEED Green associate and AP BD+C. I took both tests back to back, completing GA in 20 minutes and AP BD+C in 1hr 8 m. You may remember that I am prior service US Army, Infantry, E6. I went at the LEED program in 11B style and with some serious studying, and your help, I passed my tests on the first try. Thanks a million!
The training Everblue provided was detailed, accurate, and enabled me to pass the GA test on the first attempt. You did an excellent job conducting the class and gave me exactly what I needed to be successful. I would use Everblue again without hesitation and will recommend your course to my friends and colleagues.
My experience with this 2 day class with Greg Hamra was fantastic. Greg did a commendable job going over the material and showing his dedication to helping the environment. I give Greg an A+ for his effort. Phil Stickney
This class was well attended (30 participants) and I hope we all have sponges for brains because Greg Hamra is very knowledgeable and passing would be easy if we had his knowledge. Since we do not, I can at least attest to the fact that he made learning fun and taking the exam will not be as difficult as I thought prior to taking the course.
I just attended the class in Denver, December 7-8 at the University of Denver. I wanted to take this opportunity to tell you that the instructor Joan, has a true gift. She is passionate about the subject matter and knows it intimately. Teaching is a talent, one that is difficult at best, AND teaching adults who are working managers and have some knowledge of the subject matter - AND keeping those adults on task, moving forward is nothing short of miraculous. I've done some adult teaching in my life, and it's much harder than teaching children. I found Joan to be pleasant, professional and an incredible instructor, and it's very apparent that she loves what she is doing and selling. I wanted you to hear that and hope this makes it's way to a person who has the ability to see that she is compensated for this amazing work. I went into this class with a "let's get through this" attitude, but am now renewed with a more concerned about my environment attitude. I hope that if I get another opportunity to take any additional classes with your organization, I am lucky enough to have her teaching it. Best regards, Lori Mitchell
