Advanced Solar Training Details

Course Description: This course will provide individuals with the knowledge to assemble solar panels, a key concept to enter the solar industry. Participants will learn how to install the balance of components, including inverters, charge controllers, and battery banks for grid-tied and off-grid systems.

Prerequisites: Participants should already have knowledge of solar energy fundamentals, demonstrated by a passing score on the NABCEP PV Associate exam.  Are you new to Solar?  Start with Everblue's NABCEP PV Associate Exam Prep to gain the foundational knowledge and skill set.

Audience: This course is ideal for builders, roofers, electricians, construction workers, contractors, foremen, site managers, project managers, system engineers, and anyone interested in acquiring solar installation skills.

Ok not problem with first education - such as Solar PV Associate. priced ok! but how about installer class? cost, timing? then the requirement of 2 PV installs. . . suggestion on how I would get that experience without going to work for someone else? just don't want to do that. old geezer thoughts. lol

Once you complete the NABCEP PV Associate training you can move on to our Advanced Solar Installation Training. We offer this training online and in locations across the country. Please visit our Training Locations page to find training near you. Documenting the required installs for the NABCEP PV Installer Exam can be done on your own or with an employer. At what level would you place a field experienced and a certified electrician from a different country to be able to qualify any solar installtion systems.

Hello Mike,

Our advice would be to take the NABCEP PV Associate Training. It will provide all the guidelines and procedures for solar installation in the United States. As you already have experience installation, this course is also appropriate since installations are not covered.

Hello and thank you for your question,

After you complete our NABCEP PV Associate course and our Advanced Solar Installation Training, you will have acquired 80 hours of training. The initial 40-hour PV Associate component will make you eligible for the NABCEP PV Associate Exam. Upon successful completion of this exam, you will have an advantage in the hiring process. The 40 hours of Solar PV Installer training will give you real world experience that will prepare you for a job in the solar PV industry.
